This is a very easy game to get maximum points on, mainly due to the fact you can save your game at any point and reload if a result does not go your way. Using this method (and picking each leagues best team) will get you the points in no time, though you will have to play each of the eight main leagues at least once.
Introduction:
LMA Manager 2007 has a total of 22 achievements and requires you to play through a full season in eight different leagues in order to get 1000. There are no shortcuts to speed things up as you MUST win the league in each of the countries available and the only way to do that is to start a new season each time. This game is also a PAL only release so take that into account before you purchase this title.
Preparation
When you first load up the game, go into the Options screen, choose Game Settings, and set Football One to "none" and Return on Message to "no". Press to confirm, then go back in and press to save your options. Doing this first will cut several hours out of each play through. You can also skip the pre-season on all of your playthroughs. At the start of each play through, buy J. Valeron from La Coruna. He is a mid-fielder (blue) who is very good but affordable. If you make an offer of roughly 6-7 million cash up front and 36 payments adding up to about the same, his current team will let him go. To get him to sign with your team you will need to offer roughly 70k salary and 3.5k bonus for each of Scoring, Win and Man of the Match bonuses. General Information
Overall each play through will consist of using the calendar to get to the next match, the roster screen to manage your injured and banned players, and pressing to play a match without watching it. Use the calendar (soccer ball icon all the way to the right) to look for the next day with green, which indicates a match. Press on that day, and then go to the roster screen (crest icon all the way to the left). Anyone whose name is greyed out is injured or banned and cannot play in this game, so you need to change your roster to ensure you have enough active players. The players are color coordinated by role. Strikers are orange, midfielders are blue, etc. When replacing an injured player, press to sort by overall skill and choose the highest rated player of that color. You also should have five subs for your roster, indicated with a white SB on the roster screen. Make sure that you choose one of each color player for your subs, and then whichever extra you prefer for the fifth sub. At this point save the game, then switch back to the calendar screen, press to enter the match screen and to simulate the game. When the results screen pops up, make sure that you won if it is a game you care about (see each achievement for details on that), and then rinse and repeat this paragraph for the next game. If you did not win, reload your save and simulate the game again.
Step #1: English League Playthrough
Choose Chelsea or Manchester United as your team. There are two reasons for this, firstly, they are the strongest teams in the league and, secondly, they are both already competing in the European Cup competition which is a further achievement. You can visit the transfer market to buy some big name players at your own discretion but it is not really necessary. Simply save before every game and then if the result doesn’t go your way you can quit (without saving) and reload the save and try again. The results are randomly generated, though obviously in your favour due to the team you’ve selected, so you will win EVERY game with enough reloads. Using this method you can pick up the English Premiership, European Cup, English National Cup and English League Cup.
Step #2: Scottish League Playthrough
This playthrough is a bit more tricky as you’ll need to pick Glasgow Rangers in order to qualify for the C.E.F.A. Cup. They aren’t the best team in the league but they are a close second. Therefore you may want to dabble in the transfer market in order to strengthen them – it is not totally necessary but it will cut down on the amount of reloading you have to do. Again just save before every match and reload to get the result you want. This will net you the following: Scottish Premiership, CEFA Cup, Scottish National Cup and Scottish League Cup.
Step #3: The Other Leagues
You have now got the two longest competitions out of the way along with the major European events. Now you need to repeat the formula with the following leagues and teams: France (Lyon), Germany (Bayern Munich), Holland (PSV Eindhoven), Italy(AC Milan), Portugal(Benfica or Porto) and Spain (Madrid). You should breeze through the leagues now and can afford to be knocked out of Europe as well, which will save you from reloading each time you lose. Remember to win the respective domestic cup competitions though.
Conclusion:
This game is a ridiculously easy 1000 as you can save and reload your way to victory every single time. It can be an arduous undertaking and soon gets dull but it shouldn’t be a problem for anyone.
